Dave Atkinson – Centre Director
“I’m Dave.  I’ve been working for Trafford YFC since late 2008 as the Youth & Schools Worker, before being promoted to Director in early 2014.  I joined the YFC family way back in 2002 on a Gap-Year with National YFC’s Creative Arts team, ‘Activate’, and used to volunteer at events with Trafford YFC, so have been involved with YFC for almost 15 years.  I’m married to Emma, and we have a daughter and a son.  I can be a bit of a coffee-snob, and love Starbucks (other coffee brands are available).  I love thinking creatively, and making promotional videos.  I want to expand the work of TYFC, reaching more young people with the Gospel, and I would love to set up a more sustainable Mentoring programme.”

Matt Courtney – Youth and Schools Worker
“Hello, I’m Matt.  I have been working for Trafford YFC since September 2015.  I have a degree in ‘Theology in Mission’.  I am passionate about seeing young people realising their true identity in Christ, and re-shaping their communities for the better through their love and faith.  I have recently taken on a youthworker role at a local church.  I am married to Becky, a Childrens Worker at another local church, and we are originally from Liverpool.  I love music, theology, football, and always making the most of every opportunity to have a good time.

Jill Webb – Fundraiser & Administrative Assistant
“Hi, I’m Jill, and I’m delighted to be working for TYFC after being aware of their work and impact locally for a number of years.  I  have mainly always worked in an admin role but my work experience also includes being a Cabin Crew member and a Teaching Assistant, as I love interacting with people.  I’ve been involved with youth and young people in groups at church for a number of years as I’ve always had a heart for young people and their development.  I love family life with my husband, Richard, and our daughter.  I know TYFC will give me an opportunity to grow in my journey with God and an opportunity to extend my skills whilst I support the organisation in my role to fulfil God’s plan and vision to take the Good News relevantly to young people in Trafford.”

Joanna Edworthy – Evolve Team (YFC:One)
“Hey, I’m Joanna!  I’ve just finished doing my A levels in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, and now I’m doing the YFC:One gap year in Trafford.  I love singing, baking and sewing.  I also love watching Netflix, especially ‘Gilmore Girls’ and ‘Doctor who’!   I am so passionate about working alongside young people by chatting to them and exploring Jesus with them.  I adore seeing young people come to faith as well as grow in faith.  I can’t wait to see where God leads me this year and for the adventures I will have!”

Nobandile Mutseyekwa – Evolve Team (YFC:One)
“Hi, my name is Nobandile.  I have just arrived from Zimbabwe and I’m excited to be doing a gap year with YFC:One in Trafford.  I LOVE sports, like seriously it’s quite scary just how much I love it.  I’m a huge Arsenal fan and as a result have earned myself the nickname ‘Queen Gunner’.  Above all else, I love God and my greatest desire this year is that I may be an instrument for God to do some amazing stuff in the lives of young people.  I look forward to this new experience in this new environment, and hope I continue to grow in Christ and be a blessing at the same time!!!”
